Lou Lou’s Cattery and Small Animal Boarding was established in early 2015 in response to a need for both local and accessible cat boarding, and rabbit and guinea pig boarding.
The location of Lou Lou’s off Canterbury Road in Bayswater North, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs was chosen for easy access to many of Victoria’s best tourist destinations including the Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges and the High Country. Not far from the EastLink freeway, Lou Lou’s is ideal for dropping off your pets on the way to the airport, city or trip to the Mornington Peninsula.
Starting with an empty factory, Lou Lou’s team has lovingly created a safe and welcoming environment, where pet parents can feel confident sending their pets on holiday, and where pets feel relaxed.
We work hard to maintain a high level of service for both guests and pet parents, to ensure that guests feel comfortable and loved. Lou Lou’s is ever-evolving; we continue to improve our facilities and aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

All areas of Lou Lou’s are custom designed and built with the comfort and safety of all guests in mind. Both the Cattery and Small Animal Room were planned with daily cleaning, maintenance, airflow and natural light at the forefront, allowing the Lou Lou’s team to spend as much valuable time with their guests as possible.

Lou Lou’s Small Animal Room caters for both rabbits and guinea pigs. Located on the mezzanine level above the Cattery, the Small Animal Room is climate-controlled, quiet and calm, featuring convertible suites for multiple pet families, and play and exercise areas to ensure guests enjoy their holiday. We pride ourselves on good customer service and loving care of our guests. Our team members are all highly experienced in cat, rabbit and guinea pig care, including special needs such as blindness, hyperthyroid and rabbits with head tilt. Contact us to discuss your pet’s needs.
We strive to make guests feel as comfortable, relaxed and happy as possible while they enjoy their holiday at Lou Lou’s.
Lou Lou’s location makes it ideal for safety and security. Located in a middle factory tucked away in a quiet industrial area of Bayswater North, Lou Lou’s entry is located on the side of the building. Lou Lou’s doors are kept locked and entry for all visitors is granted after they ring the doorbell.
Inside Lou Lou’s all areas are secured with double doors, and all guests are housed in individual suites. Guests are transferred carefully between their suites and the play/exercise areas by highly experienced animal attendants.
Lou Lou’s Cattery and Small Animal Boarding upholds and exceeds council and industrial legislations. You can relax knowing that your pets are well protected and are being cared for in a safe, secure, sheltered and nurturing environment.
Each guest at Lou Lou’s guests is individually monitored and observed throughout their stay, ensuring they enjoy their holiday and maintain their good health and wellbeing.
A fully equipped Isolation Room with both cat and rabbit/guinea pig suites is available for any animals showing signs of illness or distress. Lou Lou’s Cattery and Small Animal Boarding recommends and is associated with Croydon Veterinary Clinic. A 24-hour vet clinic is on call if required.
